Hello Everyone,
It time again to start thinking about the 4th Annual EMS Region I and Trauma Foundation Benefit Golf Tournament.  Yes, it is hard to believe this is our fourth year.  1-800-Boardup is our corporate sponsor this year.  The Tournament is scheduled for July 22, 2009 at Santa Ana Golf Course with an 8:00 am shotgun start.  It is also in conjunction with the Statewide EMS Conference.  We need your help to make this year’s tournament the biggest and best yet.  We have three beneficiaries this year and have set some very high goals (go to www.emsregion1.org/golf.html and select sponsor registration to learn about our beneficiaries).  We would like to have at least 36 teams this year.  That’s sixteen more teams than last year.  We would also like to get more great give-a-ways for our raffle after the awards ceremony.  Vendor hats and tee-shirts are always in demand as well as gift certificates to local restaurants.  Anything golf related like balls, towels, tees and ball markers make great give-a-ways.  We also need small items to stuff goody-bags.  Bottled water, power bars, golf balls, tees, etc. If you or your organization can provide any of these items please call me.

The Entry Form and the Sponsorship Forms are available on the NM Region I website www.emsregion1.org/golf.html.  We will be making new hole sponsor signs this year and we need your artwork as soon as possible.  The cost of the sign is included in the hole sponsorship fee.  We will make a new banner that will display our Double Eagle, Eagle, Birdie and Par sponsors.  If you or your company would like to sponsor the long drive male or female, the closest to the pin male or female or the par three challenge please call me.  The best thing you can do is put a team together and join us.  If you know any golfers please pass on the attachments to them.  Again, thank you for your help in making this year’s golf tournament something very special.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chief Jon Tibbetts
Sandoval County Fire Department

Beneficiaries

Susan Mulhern is the wife of Albuquerque Ambulance Paramedic John Mulhern.  Susan has MS and is need of a wheelchair.  She has just returned home from an extended stay in the hospital and cannot afford any additional expenses.

Christian Karriker is the son of Rio Rancho Firefighter Chris Karriker, who was born with Spina Bifada. He requires extensive physical therapy multiple times per week which has co-pays associated with each visit.  Needless to say, the expense for his therapy continues to escalate.

Jessica Perez is a PHI Paramedic who was off work for eight months after bilateral foot surgery.  She has been financially devastated from her time away from work and is in need of financial assistances to help her rebound from this difficult situation.

Through your generosity we will be able to help these individuals with their financial needs as they navigate through these difficult times.
